In short: your child photographs a word list, practises in rounds of ten, and you can follow along or test them. Here is what that means in practice.

Test them without having to read the list yourself

You can open your child's list on your own phone and test them: you see the question and the answer, your child does not. What you tap counts towards their progress. It is the same as holding the book, without having to find the book.

Following along, not tracking

A link always starts with your child: they make a code and give it to you. You cannot look in uninvited, and your child can stop the link at any moment. That is a deliberate choice and not an omission.

What you see is, per list, how much has stuck, when the test is, and what the app expects the result to be. Not what they got wrong, or when they were online.

What it costs

Practising is free and unlimited, with or without an account. What you pay for is scanning more than three photos a month, and the extra ways to practise (listening, sequences, the mock test with a mark). That is 3.95 a month or 29.95 a year, and there is a family plan at 44.95 a year for three children.

If you would rather not subscribe there is a test-week pass at 3.95: it runs out by itself and nothing is charged afterwards.

Data

We ask for as little as possible: a name and an email address. No date of birth unless it is needed, no location, no advertising trackers. The photo of the word list is used to read the list and deleted straight after.

If your child is under sixteen, an account needs a parent's consent. Practising without an account is always possible.
